DBWI WI Pat Buchanon not elected

I am trying to do a timeline in which one of our greatest presidents, Pat Buchanon, was not elected. Is there any way this could be done?

oh no one of the far right fundies is on the site again, that one-term loser nearly brought this country dow, and all the anti-gay and anti-choice laws he put through still hurt woman and gays to this day

How dare you criticise one of our greatest presidents. Aborton should be illegal as it is now and marriage is a holy union between man and women. Don't say one term because he would have one a second term if he was not assassinated.

ooc: I do not endorse any views I am saying IC

Come on Black Angel, after the election of Mr. Jones and the military guidance that was required in the disaster of the second Soviet/Chinese Nuclear War, I think the election of Mr. Buchanon was a step in the right direction.

I mean, its hardly like anyone can claim that this wasn't a better time for the United States than we've had for decades. The question isn't whether lobotomies for the deviants weren't in order, but whether electing a good man, a man of the faith, wasn't in order.

Now, I admit that I was very skeptical--I'd known about the election of Jim Jones, and how religious windbags can turn things in the complete wrong direction, but lets face it, burning gays at the stake seems a lot more palatible than burning cities in nuclear fire--and that's happened several times in the last few decades.

We live in dangerous times. Jorg Haider seems to have a Neo-Nazi movement in Germany, while Caliph Osama's Jihad against the West has already led to nuclear strikes in the Balkans and Central Asia. That said, the choice in that election was pretty clear: We could either have elected Daniel LaRouche or Pat Buchanan. We could either utterly blue law the United States and see brutality against the LGBT, or we could elect someone who would do something similar against the business interests that keep us out of being a third world country.

Of course, no good deed goes unrewarded, and Vice President David Duke would take the reins after Buchanan's assassination by a NAMBLA conspiracy.

winning two 3 way races, elected with ~30% of the vote, not much of a "great President" and assassinated? you one of those are you? the President died when a drunk driver rammed into the Presidential limo

Well America would not be a Nazi nation then, that's for sure.

Absolutely! Jerry Jones has NO business being president. "Hey, his football team won the Super Bowl, let's make him president." Good job, Reform Party!

OOC: That's Jim_Jones, and this is tied to For All Time, where progressively more insane politicans are elected every election. Since the OP is seriously attempting to be apolitical, I'm going to throw him a bone and give him a scenario where Pat "Buchanon" could be elected, and one that isn't much discussed on this forum.

IC: Jim Jones was a charismatic guy, I don't deny it, and he played some role in supporting McGovern's mitigation of racial tensions; but the man wanted an all-out nuclear attack and had to be taken out for the good of the United States. Al Haig saved America.

I'd like to know else agrees with President Duke's order to "Encourage Emigration" for now-whites, The last few months we've had some massive roundups of Koreans--going to put those nuketards back on their nice, radioactive pennisula. But it seems worthwhile, given how the massive riots in Los Angeles are driven by racial issues.

Also we really needed Canada and Mexico. Thank god we got the oil. Plus, we killed Castro and liberated cuba. AND, he got us France, Spain, and England. Those European bastards had it coming. Hopefullt

How can you, black angel criticise pat when he did so much for us.

The drunk driver was a member of Nambla. Tell me that is not suspicous.

There might be the slight issue of what he did to the native Mexicans, Canadians and Europeans. I mean, I'm not going to pretend like the man was Hitler or anything, but I don't think for a second that those giant furnances were just burning coal.

Still, it was a great day for the United States. Few things say "Good President" better than mowing down a bunch of women and kids because they happen not to be your citizens, or, for that matter, if they're not white citizens.

OOC: Wow, the OP is even crazier than I am...

Maybe if the first Soviet-Chinese Nuclear War did not happen, it could be possible that pat doesn't get elected, but I find this a little asb. Thank god we put so much money into Star Wars, if that was not so effective, we probably would not be the first strike nation we are today.
