DBWI: What if we used nuclear bombs on the Japanese in WWII

Breaking news from Japan the nation wide DNA tests have found a Yamato decendent!
16 year old Akira Oyama was helping run his family's Ramin shop in Osaka, he is now the Emperor designate. Akira Oyama was proven to be a direct make line dependent of Emperor Menji.
There's tons of video showing up on line seeing as how the government officials contacted him as soon as possible, and he was in school at the time

Wow...

Lord, that’ll be interesting. I know that the Constitution provides for a strictly ceremonial role if an heir is found, so little will change in government, but...a lot of people will be incredibly happy.

Remember that old conspiracy theory, about the USS Indianapolis? Supposedly it was carrying a nuke when it was sunk?

Now I'm not saying there's any truth to that, but in the 70s there was this old salt from Massachusetts who used to blab on and on about the Indianapolis. He got eaten by a giant shark while on a boat with two other men, IIRC. Kind of suspicious given he was professional shark hunter.

... and, if I may pull out a tired old joke, they left the island "half haafu".

Well… if we're in the mood for nasty jokes here's one from the Australian occupation forces, based out of the Papuan 1946 experience and the Malay exhumations of POWs.

"The Russians raped Germany. Why didn't the seppos rape Japan? You can't rape the willing."

This, of course, is not true. Any of the histories of Australian troops in the British zone of occupation published after "the controversy" at the Australian War Memorial in the 1990s will make it clear that Australians found a way, too many ways. In particular the "Changi" gang of officers—who had been involved in Tiderace and the investigations into missing Australian POWs—not only turned a blind eye but organised and systematised the "punishment" of workers in Recreation and Amusement Associations.

Yours,
Sam R.
