DBWI: What if The War never occured?

What if The War, a devastating conflict that most definitely changed the course of history, never happened at all?

(OOC: This is meant to mock ultra-dystopian post-apocalyptic literature, please, stereotype it up!)

Well, the Three Grandiose Leaders wouldn't have taken power, God forbid. They saved us from so much sin. That world sounds like a terrible world to live in. Just imagine all those people who never experienced His grace.

Heresy! You know that only one of the was a real holly Emperor! The two others were not more than tyrants who received their just judgement! Long live our Great Emperor! Hail to the Emperor!

Praise be his name! Let the sacrifices in his honor never cease! For who else provides us with the living waters, which will not make us sick?

May he one day heal us all, I hope to have the grace of him healing my burnt flesh.

I guess we would still all be little nation-states eternally squabbling with each other. You couldn't take a train from district one to district five because you'd had to pass through district two (which does not allow trains pulled by a steam engine because they consider the smoke to be dangerous) , district three (where trains may only be pulled by steam engine because they forbid diesel and atomist engines) and district four (that has a different size of rails then all other districts use). Tv sets from district eleven would not work in district twelve and vice versa. Not that there would be anything worth watching on Tv anyhow because we'd just butterflied away the Hunger Games.

Yes but without the "Age of War" we wouldn't have had the "Age of Rust", the many environmental disasters, technological failures and resource shortage wars, and food riots which facilitated the rise of the current order. I know that I risk immediate censor, but the fact is that we needed the wars and the age of rust to understand why we needed "The Order"...

Here in Airstrip One, there is a lot of surviving literature about 'The War' made during the Unenlightened Times. It seems to not talk about what we know as The War, but a preceding war, which the nation that existed before us seemed to brag about an awful lot, beating some guy called 'Hilter'. There is even motion picture of a man in a mustache stressing everyone around him to not mention The War. They loved it so much, but tried to bury it in their minds. So strange.

Pfft, this thread makes me laugh. Here in the Eurasian Monarchist Union, we're more prosperous than ever, with no need for Hunger Games or for Big Brother. Go on, keep telling yourself that Oceania has always been at war with Eurasia, we'll concentrate on saving the world from the Draka.

By order of Pope John XXV of the Reformed Catholic Church and the Throne of St. Peter in Manila, I would implore each of you to turn away from your sinful ways of debauchery and sin, and profess you love for God...
