DBWI: What if the Provisional Russian Government didn't sign a peace treaty with the Germans?

Maybe the Provisional government wouldn't be overthrown by the military with popular support who then proceeds to reenter the war

Doesn't matter much by the time the military got couped and the new left wing government began to consider peace 1+ million american troops are in France the Apline front hs finally been breached and the Germany is falling back on all fronts

I think the provisional government would face issues as the left-wing anti-war agitators gain strength.

As it was the Provisional government didn't lose that much territory: Just Poland, Courland, Lithuania, and Grodno. Sure, the military government basically declared the agreement null and void, but those lines still set the basis for the post-war boundaries. A Russia impacted by the instability of continuing to prosecute the war (rather than taking a month off before the militarists took charge) may have lost even more territory.

The month gap was pretty important for troop movements, Austria-Hungary was able to redeploy a lot of forces to the Italian front. While that left them vulnerable in the east when the Russians did reengage I doubt Italy could have been knocked out by the Fall Offensive.

If Italy's at the negotiating table, I doubt the Habsburg empire will survive the peace negotiations, even in it's OTL reduced state.
