DBWI: What if the Phoenicians never discovered Demet Hadash?

I live in New Tyre, one of the largest cities of North Demet Hadash. However, sometimes I think about how the discovery of the two continents was basically an accident after some Phoenician ships attempted to navigate around Africa. What if that never happened? Of course I imagine the kingdoms of Demet Hadash after the fall of the Empire would never colonize the Old World, but what else would change?

We would not have had the tradition of human sacrifice, of course! We do not often speak of it, but it is an essential part of our ways! We would not have discovered that offering our lives to the gods is an universal practice! It was a dying practice before Qart-Hadasht discovered the New World.

Not so sure about that. Records tell us that the Mayans and various Andean peoples practiced human sacrifice. I'm willing to bet that if the Kna'ani Elohim never took hold, their religion would probably spread eventually. Human sacrifice is the natural order of civilization.

That's what is meant, without the old Phoenician discovery human sacrifice would be allowed to die, and we would not have it reintroduced through the honorable cultures of the New World.
