DBWI: What if Japan wasn't partitioned at the end of WW2

Indeed. Jeju is basically the Asian equivalent of Luxembourg. Also a lovely place to visit if you can afford it.
Thanks to the majority of the population that is of non-Chinese descent. Not to mention that 112-story building which was completed several years ago.

Yeah, that place is nice. I could never get the hang of how to say the name of that tower, though.

Sure is crowded in Jeju City, though. As prosperous as it is there, land prices are outrageous. A one-bedroom apartment on the outskirts of Jeju City is over 10 million won. It's a damn good thing Jeju has strong labor laws, so all the sanitation workers and blue-collar folks can afford them.

And thankfully urban agriculture is well-developed there. Downtown Jeju City is renowned for its rooftop gardens. I hear they're building a few new indoor farms there.

Well shit...

If it's true. Unfortunately we don't have any reliable accounts of escapees since they tend not to be able to get off the island. It doesn't even have any ports; prisoners are sent there by the dreaded red helicopter, and so far, no one has managed to hijack one to safety.

Of course being an ethnic Korean helps a little bit...

Well of course it does, but nothing helps more than being connected. The whole place runs on knowing the right people.

Also having a degree from the University of Jeju International. Every President of Jeju has been a UJI alum, their legislature is almost all UJI grads, the big shots there...UJI everywhere. It's pretty much the entire Ivy League, Oxford, Kyoto University, and the University of Prague rolled into one. I applied there on a whim for law school - I suspect they used my application for toilet paper.
