DBWI: What if Harry Reid's cancer wasn't found in 2009?

So, as we all know, then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid decided to resign from office in order to undergo treatment for his pancreatic cancer. However, what if he never learned about his illness, or learned about it far later? After all, in interviews he's said that the only reason it was detected in the first place is because during the winter of 2009, he caught a bad chest cold, and his doctor's visit led to a full physical which showed an early stage of pancreatic cancer. Would he have remained in office, and would this have butterflied away any of the accomplishments made alongside the Rendell administration?

Would Senate Majority Leader Clinton still be the Majority Leader? I personally think that she would have run in 2012 against Vice President Allen, which probably butterflies away the Rendell Presidency, since Clinton was a crucial supporter and fundraiser for Rendell's campaign. Due to their friendship, he likely would not have ran if Clinton stepped into the race. A Clinton presidency likely means she spends her political capital on healthcare reform, so there goes the National Infrastructure Revival Act and all the "NIRA Corps" jobs with it.
