DBWI: what do you think of the new Batman movie?

It's directed by Quentin Tarantino, and stars Bruce Willis as Bruce Wayne. I haven't seen it yet, so I need you guys to tell me if it's good or not.

I think it was a terrible decision. Tarantino is well-known for having self-serving cameos in hiw own films, but his decision to cast himself as The Joker is just one self-aggrandising step too far. He does have the right face for it, I'll agree. But... Just no.

The film quickly descends into obscure in-joke after obscure in-joke, with all of Tarantino's director buddies popping up in cameos - Eli Roth as the mafia head honcho, Michael Bay as Harvey Dent... I mean WTF?

Mind you, it could have been worse - there's a reason they don't let Miley Cyrus direct films, anymore, but she was considered.

It was actually okay, it had a lot of good baddies: the Joker (played by Jack Nicholson, again!), the Riddler (played by Stephen Colbert, my favorite:D) and Mark Hamill as Two-Face. Though Stan Lee as Alfred was just horrendous (it's like George Lucas as a Starfleet Captain!), and the film seemed to take every chance it could to stick in retarded CGI creatures, like Man-Bat and Bat-Mite (could thing he was in only two or three scenes). But, in counclusion, it gets more right that it does wrong, and it's pretty good popcorn fare.

I think the twist with Albert being the Scarecrow was just too far.

Also I love the FLC but they just werent right to do the soundtrack for this movie.

Terrible, Bruce Willis was OK, but the rest...UGH!

Albert? you mean Alberto Falcone? yeah, you're right...they should have had him as the Holiday killer, just like the comic...

OOC: @Vultan: did you even bother to read the other posts?

I could not get into Willis as Wayne/Batman. It just seemed out of character for him to play the tightly-controlled, borderline mad genius seen in this incarnation of the role. The movie just died for me when he walked out of the failed mob hit on the Gotham Ball and deadpanned to Gordon, "Welcome to the party."

I went out for a refill and snuck into Valkyrie, but they were showing the post-credit alternate scene in which Cruise decides to turn suicide bomber - couldn't even steal a good movie!
