You were Fifth of the Royal Rhodesian, right? Yeah, we had your backs in Northern Australia. Not my favorite operation, we lost three great pilots there. F**king SAMs. That was one of the last operations we had the A-7s and Cheetahs for, we switched over the F-111 and TSR-2 soon after, when they sent us to the Ballearic Islands to support British and NATO operations in Southern Europe.
I was part of the 1st Armered Division, in the Washington DC campaigns. I was part of the small defensive ring around the city when the Confedarates opened up with the suprise airborne attack. It was tough man, them and the Texans really ripped a hole in the country trying to meet up with the Canooks.
I was there too as a Technical Sergeant with the 17th Parachute Battalion, Confederate Air Force. Bloody little shootout on the National Mall, some motar fire, and now my right foot is made of metal. We forced you guys back and took the city, but a year later you took it back. My brother still has nightmares about that one.
