DBWI: Virginian election time!

OK, so the ballots are starting to be counted right now, with Bermuda, being the first province of Virginia, time-zone wise, to release their results shortly. The United Bermuda Party is expected to win all the seats in the Virginia House of Burgesses and the LegCo over the Socialist-aligned Progressive Labor Party.

So who do you think will be forming the Government in the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia this time?

up here in the North the Political Reformed Party may at last be done for :) i'm voting for the Independent Greens of Virginia,

Let's hope that's the case! The Political Reformed Party has pretty much drove everyone here in Hampton Roads insane, so much so that they're voting anyone but them. Me, I voted for the Centre Party.

I'm guessing the Whigs will be dominant this term. The PLP is a bit too socialist for a lot of the electorate. I'm voting for the Whigs, and so are many of my acquaintances.

I live in Wabash, by the way...

K, so it seems that out of the 2 seats in the House of Burgesses allocated to Bermuda, the UBP has won both of them, whilst for the Senate seats (4, as for all other provinces), it's evenly split between the UBP and the PLP! All I have to say is - that was quick!

Now, it seems that the northern Virginian provinces are now counting their ballots as I type this.

That'll be interesting if the Whigs try to make a go for it, after the "Armenian Coalition" Government of the past 3 terms. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

The CPBC is predicting that the "Armenian Coalition" of Democrats, Republicans, and the Centre Party is leading in Hampton Roads, which is not surprising for me.

Virginians always act like who they elect changes the world....*yawns*
You hve to admit that it's more important than the Carolinian elections, and that got all that coverage last year after the Brown scandal. They don't even have megabombs.

I will admit, it is more Democratic then the Midwest "Collective Choices" or whatever they call them.

The UBP are no better than the "Political Reform" Party, just a bunch of corrupt self-serving agro-industrialists and rogue traders who seem to forget government was originally intended to be for the people not for their pocket.

Whigs, Republicans, Democrats arent any better really- I'm voting PLP. Frankly how the "Armenians" can pretend they're voice of the everyman, when until 1985 a fifth of the 'everyman' was locked up in the "Native Autonomous Zone" on their watch, and it took a riot, a general strike and a virtual coup in Richmond (President Andrews fell ill my teeth), for them to cave in.

The PLP maybe 'evil syndicalists' but at least they dont segregate an entire culture based on hick bigotry.
