With the Republicans finally deciding on Mitt Romney for their Presidential pick this year, the question comes up of course, who will be his VP? Mike Huckabee is a possibility, but they're both pretty religious which might be a little too over the top for moderate voters (although he is conveniently from the south). John McCain, who fought hard to get the nomination is also an appeasing moderate pick for Romney, from the south-west and with plenty of military experience. Although, I have a hard time seeing Romney picking a VP who gave him so much trouble in the primary (not to say it hasn't been done before.)
As for the Democrats, Hillary finally triumphed over Barack Obama (honestly, like a one-term black Senator stood a chance). Many argue she's a liberal, many argue she's a right-wing Democrat, but honestly, she's probably as moderate as John McCain. Could you see her selecting Barack for her VP? Or someone not as controversial as the two of them? John Edwards, maybe?
