Now, I know "let's magically make X die" WIs are frowned upon, but hear me out here.
On February 3rd 1959 a small plane carrying a family of four from Clear Lake, Iowa to Moorhead, Minnesota crashed in a heavy blizzard, killing all aboard. What most people don't know is that the family of four was not the originally-scheduled passenger list. Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper and Buddy Holly, and by some accounts Waylon Jennings, were all supposed to have been on that plane. It was only after Dion DiMucci, a drummer, convinced them that it was unsafe that they decided to stick it out on their bus. This is no out of the blue ASBing here; the admonition of an average drummer saved the lives of three (possibly four) of the best rock musicians of the day. Can you imagine what music would've looked like if they'd all died that night, at the height of their careers?
