With US loosing two precious flatops lost in months IJN regained reign of the seas in the region. First battle of Salomons was a marginal victory, but forced Allied forces to act against the enemy who had more ships and aircraft, with expectable resoults.
Of course in the big picture it is a mere blot. It was a war. You are expected to take losses, suffer hardships, and still endure. This time the Japanese got it better this time.

The USS Saratoga (Getting repaired) , the USS Ranger (In European Waters) and USS Wasp (If not sunk already) will have to take over plus whatever baby flattops and escort carriers are available to lend assistance until the new Essex Class Carriers come online in 43....

Nope. A single ship couldn't change fate of war at this point, unless it is USS Nimitz or JDF Mirai.:D The availability of one more aircraft carrier would lead USN to operate on safer basis in Salomons. No more supply runs by subs and destroyers, just simple convoys escorted by battleships and aircraft carriers. That would lead to much more firm position on the Guadalcanal.
The survival of USS Enterprise would cause the campaign to be succesful earlier and without so many losses, but still it would be succesful. Even if somehow Japanese send the whole USN task force to the bottom it would not resoult in them winning the war.
