Kennedy/Proxmire - 416 - 55.32%
Reagan/Romney - 105 - 43.5%
Wallace/LeMay - 17 - 7.55%

Reagan losing California, Michigan (Romney's home state), and New Hampshire (then solidly Republican)? This map seems pretty unlikely to me.
 
Michigan and NH are unlikely to go Dem, but if you use RFK's OTL GOTV strategy of the California primary (same as Ohio '04), it could conceivably be very close. I doubt JFK would have that sort of pull there ITTL.
