As We all know, the 6 month British-Argentinian War for the then named Falkland islands was great for the UK after they sunk the Argentinian navy and pass the blockade around the islands. But after they landed the invaders soldiers fought tenaciously against the British and even after six months they didn't give up, resisting wave after wave of bombing and artillery.
This eventually caused that both British weariness of the war and the Threat of Soviet interference made the UK sign the Gibraltar Peace Treaty and renounce its right to the Malvinas and evacuate the remaining inhabitants. Tories wouldn't govern again until 1997 general election and this war destroyed Thatcher's political career.
What would have happen if the Argentinians surrendered and the UK had won the War?
