DBWI: Turner did not buy ABC

(OOC: Ted Turner bought ABC instead of Capital Cities)

(IC: Could they have been bought by Disney instead. We wouldn't have the forced integration of CNN and ABC personalities).

Maybe Peter Jennings is reduced in stature? CNNSI.com really took off because of Monday Night Football promotions, so it's plausible that they wouldn't be the default sports app we all use.

Also, Disney wouldn't be able to move Nightline to CNN, so Letterman probably doesn't get his 11:30 timeslot. I remember that CBS made a hard run at him too, but given the wreck that was the CBS affiliate network after '94, I doubt his show would work there. So maybe the Tonight show stays number 1 in the 90s and 00s?

We would miss all the Hannah-Barbera programming on ABC after Turner bought that studio. Maybe if he didn't buy ABC, he would go to CBS or NBC about Hannah-Barbera. Disney never had any involvement in the company so they could not have moved Nightline to CNN. Disney did however buy NBC.

That and ESPN boosting the website.

Maybe the shows on the CBS Saturday Morning block, like Dexter's Lab and The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, as well as the prime time Thursday Night Animation, with Larry and Steve, would go to Boomerang instead.

It would have been a hell of a lot better without Ted playing Shawshank Redemption for the 100000th time. It's a good film, but aren't we all tired of it?
