Russia's line of succession went through lots of chaos in the 1890s. First Nicholas was stabbed and killed by a Japanese police officer in the Otsu incident. Then, Tsar Alexander III died suddenly at 47 in 1894 leaving the throne to his son George. George then succumbed to Tuberculosis in 1899 finally giving us Tsar Michael II who reigned very successfully until his death in 1959. So what if we had Tsar Nicholas II instead?
