I've just finished reading "Blair's Britain 2005-2008" and in it, the author speculates that had Blair become Labour leader much earlier than he did really, the party would have had an even more succesful decade than it did under Gordon Brown. So, would Blair have been able to beat Brown's majorities of 89 in 1997 and 45 in 2001? How would Britain have responded to the events of 11/9 with Tony Blair as Prime Minister? Could the current PM, William Hague, have concievably risen to the top of the Conservative Party in a Britain dominated by Tony Blair?
