DBWI: This there ANYONE out there?

OK, the situation as best as i can put it. Last thing we in Brisbane, Australia heard, the Yanks were launching a retailitory strike. Next thing we know, the cops are coming around telling us that Marshall Law was now in place. Anyway, me, Sylvie (my Girlfriend) and Doug (My Bro) wearnt going to wait any longer, so we put on some sturdy clothes, got out the Hunting Rifles, got some canned food and water, packed the SUV and drove like hell away from Brisbane southward. We drove and drove and drove, stealing petrol here and there until we reached the old Family Holiday House, near Bellingen, which is where we are now. Since then, we've had no communications of any kind from anyone or anything apart from the net and i can't seem to find any posters on AH.com, let alone anywhere else. All the major news websites stopped updating on Sep 21, the day of the retalitory strike, so we have no idea what's going on out there. But, if there is anyone out there, please, tell us what happend and what's left? Please...

(OOC: Vuage idea i had, sorry for wasting your time, make up the story your self though if your interested. One By Note, this is Us from AH.com after the post apocolypitc disaster. )

Things are pretty messed up here in Austin. Fort Hood north of us was pulverized, and the air force bases around San Antonio south of us were, too. A lot of people fled west into the Hill Country, toward Lampassas and Fredericksburg, but several thousand remain in the city. Governor Perry fled to. . . well, no one knows where, and the Lieutenant Governor died in a car crash during the rush to get out of the city.

The city has implemented a quarantine, and volunteers are manning barracades on I-35 both north and south of the city, as well on the smaller east-west highways. Everyone's working well together and the city government is trying to keep the power on and establish a central food supply. How long will this be able to hold together?

In an effort to keep morale up, free concerts are going on down at Antone's, Momo's, the Saxon Pub, and Mohawk.

Keep broadcasting or texting your location. We shall shortly be targeting you. I'm afraid that we only have a 24kton ICBM to send your way.

Tracking.....

We apologize for any inconveniences. Have a nice day.

Damn ruski, we'll see how you like it when everything from Arkhangel to Hong Kongs nuked back to the stone age! Anyway, Europes mostly fucked. The major cities are gone, there's enough of Scandinavia and Northern Scotland left intact for the government to survive. We'll organise there for now, pretty lucky I live near Inverness hey? Their talking about making it the new capital, since Brussels was hit in the initial exchange.

So anyway, the capitals got hit by big bastards, the major cities were hit hard, I don't know how hard just yet. Hard enough that everyone seems to be leaving that area.

The continent isn't in good shape. We hope to have the safe zones organised for a weeks time.

If anyone in europes listening, head north if you can. If not, then head for mountain areas. The Alps is your best bet, I think some of the Swiss government survived.

Thankfully, I moved here to Cape Town as soon as things started to look ugly. South America's virtually unharmed, and willing to take in survivos, as is Africa.
