After the arab revolt of 36 there was a motion in the british house of commons to appease the arabs of the palastinian mandate. This idea ended when small group of arab terrorists murdered Lord Halafax in and his entire family in a church in the holy land in 37. This massacer so enraged the british public and government that they crushed the rebellion, and to punish the arabs they lifted any and all restrictions on jewish emmigration for the next 20 years.
The affect of this decision are still felt to this day.
But what if lord Halafax had not been murdered? What if the british had appeased the arabs and put the white papers into practice?
