DBWI: The Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the 2016 NBA Finals

What if the Cleveland Cavaliers came back from a 3-1 deficit to win the 2016 NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors?

How will this affect both teams? How will this affect Lebron James' legacy?

Really depends. James and Irving went bananas that game 5, but it wasn't enough to overcome 35 from Curry, 37 from Klay, and 20 from Barnes. We actually know that Steph was playing hurt since the OKC series, maybe just have his knee injury affect him more? Affect him to the point that even Kevin Love can stay with him? Even then you still need at least 2 of LeBron, Kyrie and Love to go absolutely postal for this to happen.

If LeBron DID pull it off then i think he's the clear #2 behind MJ, though very low chance of passing MJ.

Um, it wasn't that long ago so I would hope that the OP remembers the season. The streak/record wins etc. That Warriors team was in a class by itself. The Cavs were lucky the finals weren't a sweep.
OOC That is how I imagined OTL was guaranteed to go. Good thing I didn't bet on it.

I heard rumblings about Kevin Durant going to the Warriors. That would be either a 75-win team or an absolute disaster. He's got a better shot staying in OKC like he did. I can't wait for this year's West finals - looks like another classic.

Of course, if the Cavs had won, would it have taken the pressure off the Indians and averted that choke job? I mean, they looked amazing up until the Series and then the Cubs just mowed them down in four straight. Talk about a curb-stomping.

That was not their fault cubs were the superteam to break up the bills goat curse, well seems the factory of sadness Will never closes

I saw the final out and the aftermath, when the fans stormed the field (in a scene similar to Disco Demolition Night in 1979); there were at least 60,000 fans in and around Wrigley when the Cubs won.

I heard that many people didn't make it to church in Chicago the Sunday after the Cubs won...

No one thought Kluber would choke like he did in Game 1, though, and with the Cubs scoring like crazy, the bullpen couldn't recover and put a lot of pressure on the next three starters. They just couldn't handle it. Might have been a different series of Kluber had held it together. I know my best friend, the one with the Wahoo tattoo, still hasn't come out from his whiskey bottle after the poor showing.

Then again, Cleveland is the City of Frustration, as Mike Golic said this week on Mike and Mike.
