DBWI: The Republican Revolution don't reach the isles: what next?

An oldie, I know. But still, take some handwavium butterfly effect and assume that the Republican Revolution doesn't spread to the Home Islands during the events of the 1770's. Maybe some book is published or is not published, public opinion, something. The British Republic isn't formed, King George doesn't abdicate at Belfast, and so on.

What sort of world would result?

Hm... I suppose Germany would look rather different. One one side, Hannover would have the resources of Britain as aid (at least to a degree), but on the other, the Kings of Hannover would not be able to concentrate as much on, well, their roles as just that, having to split their attentions to Britain and her realms, too.

Easy. Because of the revolution, the british people demand more and more democracy and by the late 1800's, the King is a figurehead.
