DBWI:The People's Republic of China managed to unify China?

As we know,China was divided into two countries after WWII.After being defeated in the Civil War,ROC control of China was roughly limited to China south of the Huai River and the Han River, later incorporating Tibet. The newly established People's Republic of China managed to control the entirety of northern China including Manchuria and Xianjiang. What would happen if the PRC managed to unify China?

For starters, said People's Republic of China probably won't be a rogue state which flings missiles around and threatens it's neighbors (along with embarassing the USSR's leadership).

This would cause the conflicts in Vietnam to go very differently as they may have chosen to supply anti French then US forces. Also the Hong Kong situation would be different I imagine

So, how do you think would the USSR have been affected by communist victory in China? Would it still have made the market reforms which enabled it to survive to the present day?

Are you suggesting that the French wouldn't have won the war and that the US would have to directly support their French ally? How will that affect that French Union?
