Jes, ic spræche Britdeutsch.[1] Ic ahtræcte net suþænglisch richtænglisch.[2] Hit iþ oberfrensosisch. Hiér in Scotland spræchen wér richtænglisch. Ic spræche auþ sum bannéc "Ænglisch". Ic cófte þuré Ænglisch spræchen várcunchen. [3] You might know not, but there still are a few communities, that the people Ænglisc speak. I wondered, with Normandies [4] in England, how France develop would? It seems to me, that with Franco-Saxons still being a large group in Normandy, more problems caused. With more predominately French France, the Normandies would have less reason to leave France for New World, so no French colonies in New Normandy? [5]Are you from the Scottish Highlands? If not, you must be an immigrant, because I've been to England, and the natives don't speak like that![1]
And furthermore, I should add that pretty much all of the non-Norse/Frisian vocabulary has been done away with for the most part.[2] Although given that there were a good number of German immigrants who did come to some of that country's northern & central cities. Sprachen Britdeutsch?[3]
OOC:
[1] Remember, folks, the second French invasion of 1380, as previously mentioned, was more successful than the first one led by the Normans.
[2] Even significantly more so than OTL.
[3] A hybrid of English & several Germanic dialects, most popular in York and Doncaster, where 2 of the biggest communities settled, although after the Global War, discussed a bit in an earlier post considering the invasion of France, led it to its banning until the end of the '50s.
OOC:
Yes, I speak Britdeutsch. I don't consider "south English" (French influenced-English you're talking about) true English. It's too French. Here in Scotland, we speak true English. I also speak a bit of "English" (your English). I could try speaking your English.
[1] This is my Ænglisc-German-English Hybrid language time.
[2] People who still speak Ænglisc don't usually think of our English as being English at all, merely some French-English hybrid language.
[3] It is still widely learned, even in Ænglisc speaking communites
[4] Obvious butchering of Normans
