As we all know, the Mongols ravaged Europe from 1241 to 1246 (when Ogodei Khan died) with most of Europe's kingdoms either conquered by the Mongols or forced to accept a tributary status as the Mongols killed 1/3rd of Europe's population but what if the Mongols didn't ravage Europe (let's say Ogodei Khan dies earlier)? How does a Europe unaffected by the Mongol ravaging develop? What would the effects be on Christianity if Rome wasn't sacked by the Mongols, then?
