During the Second world war, the Eastern European countries all revolted against their German overlord in 1947, who had ruled over them since the treaty of Brest-Litovsk that was signed in 1917.

These revolts were devastating to Germany, as Ukraine was a major food source that helped ease the British blockade, along with the need to divert troops thousands of miles east, it's even argued to be one of the most decisive events of the war, as the Franco-British offensives that took place shortly after which shattered the front lines were mostly successful due to the decreased amount of, well, EVERYTHING that would've been needed to defend.

The front line which had, despite great technological advancements, largely remained static much like the Great war for 3 long years were shattered within weeks, and the Germans surrendered within the year, their allies were then left to fight a hopeless battle for another year before surrendering themselves.

What if the eastern Europeans hadn't revolted? Would Germany have won or were they doomed to fail regardless? If they were going to lose no matter what, how much longer would they have lasted?
