DBWI the entente wins der weltkrieg?

As the Berlin Olympics are happening today (the third in 100 years, wow) I decided to create (yes another) thread about what could have happened if the entente had won the Weltkrieg

it seems that to do that we must somehow butterfly the Nivelle offensive and the huge Nivelle multiny, ths way the french could have held the line against the german offensive who took Paris in october of 1917

It is incredible the size of german gains with this war, I mean, all of europe are unde their thumb, from Elssas lothringen to their "allies" in Ukraine and Belarus ("Allies", under the same royal family), and from their Baltic provinces to Bulgaria in the south

But in the opposite scenario, maybe with the USA joining the war as it almost did or no Nivelle, how could the war have ended?

Well for one thing, the Third Republic might have survived. Instead we had the Second Commune, the Fourth Republic...and then the Royalist Restoration and the growth of elanisme. And all the misery that brought...

Another difference, I guess, would be the Far East. After they forced France to cough up Indochina, the Germans tried to build a sphere of influence there, which worried London immensely and brought them headlong into conflict with Japan... One of the great historical ironies: while Britain fought alongside Germany against Elaniste France and its Italian allies between 1941 and 1944, they'd essentially bankrolled Japan's war against Germany in 1940-41 :D Question is: would the Indochinese nations have become independent as early as they did in the case of an Entente victory? OTL, the Japanese set up independent (though economically dependent* ) governments in Indochina after they evicted the Germans and after the Treaty of Singapore was signed. And they only really made their liberation stick because Britain was sympathetic. In a world where a France allied with Britain held Indochina, how different could it have been?

* Which they still are, to a point, the Co-Prosperity Sphere is still very favourable to Japan, for all that the Indonesians look to be the next leader in the alliance...

A surviving third republic? Hardly, the republic ended as it began, overrun by german armies

The Whites would not have been restored to power in Russia, and the Holocaust of 1942-45, in which nearly 100,000 Jews were murdered, would have been averted. A much better world.

How can you be sure the Bolsheviks would have been better? I'm not being an apologist for the atrocities of the Kolchak regime by any means, but the Bolshies did some horrible things too. People need to stop holding up Lenin as some sort of Saint;'the Germans were right to stop him.

You got to wonder if Ireland would have become a dominion or still gone independent. I mean the bloodshed on both sides was super nasty OTL and I wonder if British co-rule would have been better. We also have to consider that the independent Ireland was often the souse of much of the "Celtic nationalism" Wales, Scotland, and Brittany all cited Irish independence as the thing that kick started their own nationalistic movements.

? The whites? They got crushed as seen in the map I posted, but with them in power Russia probably wouldn't have turned into the desaster it is today, no stalin, no massive gulag system, no forced industrialization (that ended crippling their bureocracy), etc

What date is the map supposed to be? Have the Germans really just sat back and allowed the the Bolsheviks to rule all Russia bar a few western provinces? I thought the whole point of the war was to prevent a strong Russia.

I feel as if the Belarusians would have done even better. We were already in full revolt when the Germans arrived, plus we had claims in Russia that we were forbidden to press because of the treaties. With an Entente Victory, Russia would have easily collapsed, to the point of an independent Novgorod.

Well, this map shows how the border standed from 1922 to the fall of the union in 1985
