DBWI: The End of the Russian Socialist Republic?

It seems that after 90 years of the Russian Socialist experiment, the Republic may be at an end. The St. Petersburg protests of 3 years ago paved the way to the situation now, where for the first time the Socialist Revolutionary Party (OOC: Kerensky's faction of the Mensheviks) is allowing multiparty elections in May. Despite SR control of the media, they still are only polling at around 20%, and both National Union and the Popular Democrats are polling higher, with the National Workers (Fascist) bloc that split from the SRs not far behind. Some people are predicting it will end violently, say if the Bolshevik wing of the SRs gets their way, and puts down the "enemies of the workers" violently, but I don't think it will play out that way. The top members of the Bolsheviks are all in their 80s or late 70s, and their support is far down from the peak in the 1960s (and 1918, but that's a different matter entirely). The proof that change is coming IMO came 2 years ago, when The Internationale was removed as the national anthem (although they still haven't agreed on a replacement). In other news, the ("False") Tsar and his family are planning to return to Moscow, ending their exile in Denmark, but it remains to be seen whether they will be arrested upon their entry into the St. Petersburg airport.
