DBWI The Chinese civil war ends

1912 the year the Qing dynasty officially fell.

With the fall of the Qing it was thought that china would become successful democratic country.

What happened next was the war lord era that has lasted since then to today. Over a hundred years of war, and every time it looks like some one will finally end it and make the country whole said person gets assasinated and their forces splinter.

China today is a region of city states and warlords. Name a type of government and some one out there is trying it but no one, even with outside help can seem to unify the country.

Heck the largest portion of the former Qing empire are mongolia and Tibet and both of them are loud about not being chinese, but what if some one had pulled it off?

What if the havok, blood shed, and seemingly endless war finally came to an end. What would china look like?

Depends pretty much who would have win. Best chance would had communist war lord Mao Zedong but he was killed on 1932. There was some competent war lords but they weren't able unify China.

United China would be markable great power it would just plays its cards right. It could too restrict power of Japan and Russia.

The KMT government in Nanjing was successful for a while. They held (nominal) control of much of China, until Chiang Kai Shek's murder. They still have the largest territory, excluding Japanese occupied Manchuria.
