DBWI: The Brady Bunch: Happy!?!?!?

RP: The Brady Bunch... Happy!?!?!?

Americas most depressing show just hit a new low this week when Marcia commited suicide after Marcia's jealousy of Jan just reached it's climax. :(

Jan just became Prom Queen, the happiest I've seen anyone ever on the show, and poor Marcia wasn't even allowed to compete.:( At least it was an alternative to Jan's usual druggy self for her...

Seriously, this show needs to brighten up now and then! Many Americans for some reason love it, but I just can't stand it anymore!!!

Does anyone out there agree with me! Please tell me someone!!!!!!!! Or I just might pull a Marcia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's okay. Just read Bridge to Terabithia. That'll cheer anyone up. It's probably the most beautiful young adult romance I've ever read... and it has quite a happy ending, too. It was written before this pathetic modern stuff like Twilight. Seriously, why did they kill Bella at the end? I mean, she's annoying, but it didn't fit withy anything else in the book.

OOC: From what I've been reading on the forums, this is really more of an RP....

IC: See, I like a little depth to my shows. That's why I'm watching Gilligan's Island again this week to see exactly how the brainwashed Gilligan is going to unconsciously sabotage the hopes of rescue for the rest of them. Of course, they can only hint at the relationship between Ginger and Mary Ann, since they're in enough trouble with the FCC.

A friend of mine told me to instead watch this new show with incredible special effects called Lost in Space. It sounds a lot better than the terrible space show Star Trek, which reportedly the setting is the fakest looking thing ever to be on TV, and the cast, well, they just suck. The cast for Lost in Space however, is tremendous. William Shatner is John Robinson, Marilyn Monroe Mrs. Robinson, and Leonard Nimoy is Dr. Smith.
So, guess what I'm watching tonight! No more Brady Bunch for me!:D (I'll have to check out Gilligan too)

As for reading, I've been told of this fantastic author named Steven King, who writes very good stories about almost anything, and he veers away from the current trend of swearing, sex, gloom, and doom, and writes clean. Isn't that something?

OOC:This is a DBWI not an RP.

OOC: My apologies if I'm incorrect, but I was under the impression that a DBWI took a POD of some sort or another as a given, and then posited a "WI" from there, as in "DBWI Lincoln Had Not Survived His Bullet Wound?", or in your case "DBWI The Brady Bunch Was A Silly Sitcom?"

This is not a Double Blind What If. A DBWI discusses Our Time Line from a different time line's perspective. It should barely touch on the alternate time line: "As you know..." is an example of a shitty response in a DBWI.

This, on the other hand, is acting as if you are in a different time line. If you notice, at no point have you talked about our time line in your opening post. This is a clear indication that what you are doing is Role-Playing.

I am trying to end the stupidity that is people misusing the title DBWI when what they actually mean is RP.

In the future, please put "RP:" in front of posts that are role-playing, like this thread. It would be even better if you edited this thread to remove the nonsensical "DBWI:" and replaced it with "RP:". Thank you.

I'm sorry *ashamed feeling* :(
I had originally wanted to make this a true DBWI, but I liked this format better, and didn't know what else to call it.

OOC:I think the reason that convention is changing is because any thread marked "RP" in the ASB forum is locked, but threads like this marked "DBWI" are not locked.

Also, it's horrible ettiquette in any one of these threads to not use OOC tags when appropriate. I remember the time some idiot ranted about the stupidity of my thread, ignoring OOC tags. It enraged me.

Finally, what's the difference between DBWI and FBWI?

OOC: Hmm. I do like the RP threads, and understand the desire for camouflage on the part of the thread creators. Know what? I'm going to refrain from pointing it out when it happens from here on out, and leave that up to other people.

Out of character is meaningless in a DBWI. You talk about OTL from an ATL perspective. There is absolutely no reason to have "OOC" tags, unless this was a RP thread. Since it wasn't, it is effectively dead, being a mislabeled thread.

It enraged me.

all OOC

Because RPGs belong in Shared Worlds.

There is basically no difference. FBWIs should really be titled "DBWIs" and placed in the Future History section (since FBWI by itself in a Future History section is redundant), whereas DBWIs are limited to Pre-1900 and Post-1900.

Does that help?

OOC:The above two posts are killing the forums by not getting the point. Of anything.
IC:I don't honestly get all of these stupid modern tragedies. It's like this Disneyness is flooding our culture. We need more happy people, like HP Lovecraft..
