DBWI: Tartarstan has invaded Lithuania...again.

And now it seems to be massing troops near the borders of Wallachia, Khazaria, and Lapland, and Sakha. The Western Alliance may be able to save Lapland and Wallachia, but with the Turkish Republic of Anatolia blocking the entrance to the Inland Sea I'm afraid we might not be able to do anything about Khazaria, and Sakha is doomed. :(

OOC : Err... Sakha ? They migrated, perhaps ?

OOC: Well, Sakha would be a harmless third world nation, so the Western Alliance wouldn't like the unprovoked invasion.

OOC : Yea, but IOTL though they have been living in Eastern Siberia. Did they move west across the Urals ITTL ?

OOC: It's kinda difficult to actually roleplay a before-1900 scenario pretending that we are on a message board...

IC: The initial post exaggerates the situation somewhat. Yes, the tatars have amassed a huge force close to the borders of the aforementioned countries, and they managed to capture a few military bases near Smolensk, but this was due to the surprise factor. The most recent news are that the Lithuanian Eastern army has decisively defeated the tatars outside Orsha and is pushing eastward, so this incursion should not be much of a threat.

OOC: Sure the POD os before 1900, but why does the scenario have to be.

IC: Well, it seems that the Baltic Defense Treaty has drawn Prussia in, and thus the Western Alliance. Damn it. Damn Tarties don't think before acting.

OOC: I wouldn't really use the slur "tarties".

You can't blame the pagans, their temples were razed and cathedrals were built on top. Although, they have since converted the Cathedrals back into temples of Dievas and the like.

OOC: Sure the POD os before 1900, but why does the scenario have to be.

OOC: Well, the phrase "turkish republic of anatolia" suggests a fairly modern date, and most states with similar names came about in the 20th century (anyways, it implies no Ottomans at the time of the scenario, and we all know nobody on the board would stand for that, which implies they have collapsed).

edit: of course, we are acting as if it is us in an AH, therefor we are in an alternate timeline posting on a message board, therefor there is an internet-equivalent, therefor we are in an equivalent of modern times.

It appears that New Saxony has sent in submarine aircraft carriers to Sakha. Maybe they'll think twice of sending in the army with Saxon bombers flying over head.

I cannot comment much here. Mobilization leads to heightened security, and even one of my office cannot comment to much on preparations at this time. Suffice it to say that the Swiss Confederation is indeed mobilizing. The Fleet is heading into secure waters in the Inland sea (or staying in port; Genoa, Toulon, and other fleet bases are secure enough, and I think I may have said enough as it is); The Army is mobilizing to either hold the frontier, aid an ally, or invade an enemy; and the Air Force is already on a war footing. As for what we do, I leave that to the lively imagination of this forum. As you know, while we have ties with the western Alliance, the Swiss Confederacy Charts it's own course.

OOC: Yes, uber-switzerland.

The Guang Dynasty of China has today declared war on Tatarstan , and all her Steepe Allies . It now appears that Tatarstan is now facing the Nightmare of fighting on two fronts simultaneously - and against one of the strongest powers in Eurasia.

If by "Pagan" you mean Tengri, then your flame would have some meaning. Subadai Khan is a New Reformed Templist- say good-by to your precious sacred groves, and say hello to houses dedicated to the worship of the Sky Father and his Genghis Son, ya Lithuanian lutzes.
