DBWI: Taft Isn't Reelected (1912)

All of us know about the infamous 1912 election, where Taft won reelection after Wilson suffered a stroke on the campaign trail that left him crippled (yet he refused to drop out) and Roosevelt was shot in Wisconsin a month before the election (Johnson just couldn't capture the same appeal Roosevelt did). My question is, what if Wilson didn't have a stroke, Roosevelt wasn't shot, or a combination of both?

Obviously nothing short of a bullet can stop TR!

Us Enters the Great War and it ends 1916/17

TR bangs heads in Versaille to make sure no one gets screwed in the peace process.

The rest of the century lives in Pax Americana.

My thoughts: Probably either would have won over Taft (turnout was at it's lowest point ever, only 40%, and less than half voted Taft). We would probably still join the Great War, but maybe not as soon as we did under President Knox. Supporting Huerta was a given, but perhaps support would be limited to just funding Huerta, as opposed to sending in US troops like Taft and Knox did. If Wilson wins, Knox would probably still be the Republican nominee in 1916, he was a good compromise candidate; part of the Old Guard, but friends with Johnson. If Roosevelt lives, Borah might not have accepted the Republican vice presidency that was offered to him on Sherman's death as a last minute sop to progressives (He reportedly called it the greatest mistake of his life).
