DBWI:Stilicho didn't revolt in 408?

In 408,Honorius and the aristocracy attempted to remove Stilicho from power. They began by securing the loyalty of an army located at Ticinum and mobilized it against Stilicho. At first,Stilicho attempted to surrender himself, but after being persuaded by his son and his barbarian supporters that they will all be killed if he did that,Stilicho mobilized the barbarian elements of the army and crushed the loyalist army.In the aftermath of Stilicho's revolt, the streets of Italy ran red with the blood of Stilicho's political opponents. Most of the courtiers and senators still remaining in Italy were slaughtered with their wealth and land confiscated.Honorius remained emperor, but under house arrest for what remained of his lifetime ,being succeeded in the throne by his brother in law Eucherius several years later.Naturally,Constantine III and Alaric also attempted to take advantage of this incident. The relations between the Western Court and the Eastern Court also broke down completely. What if Stilicho refused to revolt and surrendered to the emperor's forces? What would happen?
