With the MCU winding down as of late, it got me thinking
What if the phenomenon that revolutionized the superhero film genre and has produced some of the highest grossing films and a universally recognized cinematic universe, never happened?
Arguably, the MCU is solely the brainchild of
Stephen Norrington. After all, he was the one who directed Blade, Ghost Rider, and Shang-Chi all to critical acclaim, and decided to combine the IPs into one unified universe. But, what if one of the movies was a flop, or all of them were? Could there even be an MCU without Norrington?
Also, where would Donnie Yen, Wesley Snipes, and Nicholas Cage be now without Shang-Chi, Blade and Ghost Rider defining their careers respectively?
