DBWI: Steve Norrington's MCU is a Failure

With the MCU winding down as of late, it got me thinking

What if the phenomenon that revolutionized the superhero film genre and has produced some of the highest grossing films and a universally recognized cinematic universe, never happened?

Arguably, the MCU is solely the brainchild of Stephen Norrington. After all, he was the one who directed Blade, Ghost Rider, and Shang-Chi all to critical acclaim, and decided to combine the IPs into one unified universe. But, what if one of the movies was a flop, or all of them were? Could there even be an MCU without Norrington?
Also, where would Donnie Yen, Wesley Snipes, and Nicholas Cage be now without Shang-Chi, Blade and Ghost Rider defining their careers respectively?

Jackie Chan is too old in the late 90/early 2000 to play Shang-Chi.
How about Donnie Yen?

The superhero genre as a whole would probably be better off.

WB had originally envisioned the Dark Knight, Watchmen, Jonah Hex, and Green Lantern as stand alones. The last minute decision to kit bash them into one universe with Superman Returns was uh... pretty bad.

Very different, heck Steve showed how you do you Cinematic Universe, by betting low but with potential and taking care the characther, no one bet for him and the gamble explode massively. Still Warner trying to cash it fumbled it badly

I think the one more to loss is mr cage, he got an amazing role as Johny Rider and was able to got a steady roles in the MCU to be take seriously as an actor. Yen is the reason why China love marvel. Maybe he get back to chinese cinema?
