Do you think would have been a way for that to happen and if it happened what would Stalin do after that?
Trotsky didn't like Stalin, and I think that's why Trotsky killed him.He was more powerful in the Party than StalinWell, Stalin gained absolute power by taking control of the State and with the support of the Tcheka. He was so skilled at maneuvering that I think he would have still achieved absolute power if he had been head of the party.
PS : OTL, Stalin was able to become secretary general of the communist party because all the bolshevik leaders considered it a minor position. It was Stalin's maneuvering skill that enabled him to turn this relatively minor position as his tool to achieve absolute power.
And after he succeeded, he broke the party as the main tool for reaching power and restored the importance of classic State organs.
An act which, as we all know, split the Party and brought the Soviet Union to the brink of Civil War.Trotsky didn't like Stalin, and I think that's why Trotsky killed him.He was more powerful in the Party than Stalin
That's why I think that he shouldn't have done that.He had other ways to decrease Stalin's power in the Party. An act which, as we all know, split the Party and brought the Soviet Union to the brink of Civil War.
That wasn't a good decision as well.I wonder what Stalin would have done. And once Trotsky dealt with the Stalinists he started supporting communist movements everywhere and then started strong-arming The Baltics and the Finns before invading Poland and dragging the USSR into a war with the whole of Western Europe
