Today the Slave Nations Conference has began in Cairo. The member states have decisively denounced Imperialist Pressure to abolish the "honest and good" tradition of slaver. The host; The Kingdom of Egypt and Sudan was joined by the Sokoto Caliphate (where approximately 45 % of the population is unfree), Mauretania and the Gulf States. Also one non- Islamic state attended; The Christian Empire of Ethiopia.

The great powers; US, UK, France, USSR and China has all called the conference a "gathering of barbarism"

I don't understand why our countries don't do something.

I think we out invade and force those bastards to be slaves to the peoples they've enslaved.

Oh yeah? At least we're not the ones who worship a giant phallus from outer space.

Besides, everyone knows that the Chinese are not humans, they are animals. And you can do whatever you want to an animal.

OOC: I feel so sick doing this....
IC: The Chinese and the Indians are slaves, camels have more value than them! while admit they have many uses, from serving as soldiers to preforming in the circus, they are an utterly lazy bunch, prone to smoking as much opium as they can get. Though they do give mean head....;)

Those infidel imperialists claim their "capitalism" is superior to our "uncivilized" system.

I've seen the coal mines, the potteries, the textile industry. Their workers not only start with hard physical labor before age ten, they're also kept on the edge of starving, probably to prevent uprisings. And if they get sick, well, they're dead. It is absolutely horrific. What reasonable slaver would do such thing to his investments?!

These absurdities is what happens when a society values money more than human lives. I have three hundred such lives under my wings, and yes, I may live in a palace but so does the rich in Europe, and they don't look after their slaves the way I do.

// Muhammad Al-Habibi, 12th generation slaver

For a nation founded on slavery and nearly split by it those Americans sure are loud mouthed about our little..."institution" they'd call it. For people of the book they seem to forget their own "Old Testament" guides proper slaver/master behavior.

Besides, who do they think makes their tennis shoes?

There is a kind of grim similarity between the working classes in these so called "free" nations, and the easterners in Africa and the Gulf. Wage slavery is openly practiced in most of the protesting nations, and is often based on race. The British pottery and textile industries mentioned, for example, depend on cheap foreign labour for over 80% of their workers, and they are often payed less than a tenth of what the British workers are paid. Living in ghettos, on a subsistence wage. These nations are worse than hypocrits.

Uh, say what you want about the Chinese, but how is that relevant to the topic at hand? As far as I know Dai-Nippon nor any other state with a Chinese population is not part of the Slaver Nations' Conference- despite the general-sounding name it's really only the Arabian and African slave-holding nations as far as I can tell.

Anyway, slaveholding is wrong... labor should be performed by members of the master race or for that which is too tedious can now be performed by machines, I don't see why we need to allow inferior races to live at all.

((OOC: Okay, maybe a bit too crazy))

The sad truth is the cold war between capitalism and communism has made both blocks ignore slavery in Africa and the Gulf as long as the resources are delivered.

In my opinion, slavery should be tolerated; here in the Union of South Africa and for our allies in the CSA, it's an essential part of our economies. Maybe one day advanced technology will outphase it, but for now it's needed. Now, I don't know why the Consortium isn't willing to let us join, it would vastly expand the slave trade and expand their economies as well as ours!
(OOC: This is an interesting universe...)

As far as I understand the Consortium denounce Union of South Africa and CSA because they are "Imperialist and Racist", but the truth is the Consortium states are no better, name one Fulani slave in the Sokoto Caliphate!! There is none!

The others are right; the wage slavery practiced in the capitalist states is disgusting. While our nation, too, has suffered through Stalin's gulags, it has thankfully gotten better now. Thank Andropov for that.
Though I still don't know why we don't invade those states. I will protest at the next Party Congress election myself. Hopefully the 'neo-Abolitionists' like Yablokov and the others will win seats.

The US, UK and France just announced increased sanctions against the Consortium and asked the USSR and the Republic of China to follow suit.

Looks like we may have another war on our hands.

I just hope those thrice-damned Confederates keep their armored cars out of it this time. War should be an infantry affair, not an excuse to go joyriding around and shooting people with Gatlings.

Are they going to impose sanctions against South Africa and Dai-Nippon as well? If they don't, it seems rather biased to me: why is it okay for the Afrikaners and Japanese, but not for the Muslims and Africans?

I, too, do not see why the western powers don't fret about their wage slavery before ours. Here, we actually treat our slaves well. I have four hundred slaves, and to show my solidarity with them I built a huge dining room where we all eat together. When I go to the conference in a month, I will bring these points up and petition for the South Africans and Japanese to be allowed in. They deserve to enter our enlightened society as well.

The Kingdom of Egypt and Sudan announced it won't let imperialist heathens threaten the Moslem world. Some non- slavenations in the Islamic world like Syria and Iraq has announced support for the Consortium. Meanwhile Israel has announced that slavery is just another proof of "the uncivilized state of the Arab people".
