DBWI: Should the CCP be honoured for it's actions in the Second World War?

Well, have any of you read The East is Red? It illustrates this very scenario.
Yeah, but i'm not sure how plausible most of it is- in it, the CCP won a lot more battles from the beginning, and after winning, managed to become a third great power in an insane amount of time, and managed to unite korea, indochina and japan under communism. But the impacts on other nations seemed about right

OOC: I was aiming for the whole thing to be "OTL from ATL".
 
What do you guys think the world would have been like if the CCP has ended up in power? Not advocating for this, just wondering.
That would've made the US fear Communism even more. As well Mao was a fan of Stalin and would've done the same Stalin did during his rule with the purges.

And it would have caused the US to tighten their grip on regions like Korea and Japan.
