Should John F. Kennedy be given another shot for President in 1968?
Frankly, I think it would be good for the nation. Since Nixon was assassinated in '63, times have been hectic in the United States under Lodge. Race riots, the draft, and Vietnam have all torn the nation apart, and Kennedy offers a sort of return to normalcy and continuation of social and economic progress. Likewise, he supports US withdrawal from South East Asia.
So should John Kennedy be elected in 1968, and on a side note, how would the US be different if he had won in 1960? Would he have shared Nixon's fate? How would Vietnam and world events have gone? And how would events at home have gone?
OOC: Parallel Nixon. Instead of Nixon losing and making another go in 1968, and Kennedy winning and being shot and Johnson taking over; Kennedy loses and makes another go, Nixon is shot and Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. takes over and becomes the GOP Johnson. I'm afraid the wording of this all may not bode well for this discussion. By the way, that photo is my best attempt at an older JFK so be kind and don't blast it if you think he doesn't look right.
