DBWI RP: U.S. Presidential Election, 2000

Well, it's Election Year, and for once, we don't have an incumbent President or Vice President running! President Perot decided not to run for a second term, so we have three main candidates.

John McCain (R-AZ) - Senator John McCain is the Republican nominee for president. His running mate is Senator George Voinovich (R-OH).

Al Gore (D-TN) - Al Gore was the Vice President under Bill Clinton from 1993 - 1997. His running mate is Senator Paul Wellstone (D-MN), who was Gore's main challenger in the primaries (by main, I mean the second place finisher; we all know Wellstone didn't do too well.)

Dick Lamm (I-CO) - Dick Lamm is the current Vice President, and is supported by President Perot. Running as an Independent, his running mate is recently-elected Governor Jesse Ventura of Minnesota.

So, what do you think of the campaign season so far, and who are you going to vote for next Tuesday?

OOC: I know - Perot getting elected in '96 is near ASB. So be creative.;)

OOC2: EDIT

Sorry, I meant to create a poll. Should I just start a different thread?

I will be voting for Senator McCain: I am a registered, loyal Republican who will be returning to the fold, having voted for Clinton in '96. Nor do I support the Independent Party: I oppose third parties on principle.

I'm actually undecided right now; I like Gore, and I don't a huge problem with McCain, and Dick Lamm is an independent, and I like it when independents are major candidates. That's why I've liked '92 and '96 so much.;)
