DBWI Ross Perot had dropped out

As we know, IOTL, Ross Perot won the Presidency in 1992. There were rumors he was considering dropping out, even as he was in the lead in polling. However, he clearly opted against doing so and became President. How would Ross Perot dropping out affect the election? Would Clinton or Bush win? Also, as his election opened the door to third party candidates, would that mean there wouldn’t have been President Nader or Johnson?

I wonder if this butterflies away Ronald Gene Barbour's successful assassination attempt of the President. Perot hadn't even been in office barely a year when he was shot to death. But Barbour was a curious figure: suicidal and unhinged who was almost caught because he told a friend what he was doing a few hours before he killed the president and then shot himself. It wouldn't take much make him fail in a Clinton or Bush victory.

As for the aftermath Stockdale was... interesting. Technically the first president of my lifetime (though only for a few months). Poor bastard never has a chance to elected in his own right.

Do you think that Perot would have defeated Nader in 1996 had he survived? Of course, IOTL Stockdale came in 5th behind the LP candidate (for the life of me I can’t remember his name), Tom Foley, Newt Gingrich, and Nader.
