DBWI: RMS Queen Mary doesn't disappear in 1942

The Cunard Liner named Queen Mary, one of the biggest ocean liners existing then, had strangely disappeared after December 1942, along with over 16,000 soliders aboard. The only evidence we have for what happened then is one distress message that may have been sent out frantically:

"SOS SOS DE GBTT SHIP ROLLING OVER. NEED HELP FAST. GBTT"

But when help came they could not find the ship or any lifeboats, or even anyone in the water.

(OOC: The rogue wave that hit her in OTL causes her to roll 4 more degrees than she did in OTL, capsizing her)

What do you think would have changed had she not disappeared with all hands?

Fortunately the Americans were able to put out the fire on the Normandie before it got out of hand. The Queen Elizabeth and the Normandie were able to embark an entire division at a time. It’s been estimated that they shortened the war by at least a year. Having another big Atlantic grey hound would have been very useful especially in the later stages of the war.
