Your name will be mud, a common saying in the south.
Private Mud was forcibly conscripted into the southern army during the civil war, and when the union lines were close in the dead of night he plied some of the guards with moonshine and decaptiated Stonewall Jackson, he also stole the southern battle plans and then ran to the union side with the generals head in tow. Asking to join the union army.
Mud's actions directly led to union victory in the second battle of bullrun, armed with information about confederate postions, battle plans, supplies, numbers and with the loss of one of their best leaders the confederate troops were disorganized and were defeated and forced to flee. Some say that Mud shaved at most a month off of the war. Others say his actions directly led to the souths defeat.
Either way the man was loathed in the south as a traitor, and dispite serving with distinction and loyalty in the union army for the rest of the war he never really gained the respect of polite society in the north either at least during the time.
So was Mud a Hero forced to fight against the country he loved and a man who brought a traitor to justice?
Or was he a guttless coward who betrayed his general and his brothers to save his own skin?
