OOC: This is an ATL where in the 1960s, Israel decides to integrate the Arab Israelis more into the country. Upon seeing the successes and reduction of tensions brought about by this, Israel starts to do the same to the Palestinians and unites Israel and Palestine by the early 90s. Meanwhile, a strong military and good Israeli treatment toward the Palestinians result in Arab nations not bothering Israel. With its strong economy, Israel joins the European Union in the late 90s.

Platforms? I'm tempted by the Liberal party, but I want to know what their ideals are. Same for the other parties, really.

Since the Single Transferrable Vote is used here, I'll be giving my first vote to United Peace and Prosperity, the electoral slate of the Communist Party of Palestine - Israel (CPP-I), but I'll be giving my second to the Labour party.

This last bit may require a couple of additional "Arab-Israeli wars" and perhaps an Ongoing Cold War. This many Jews and Muslims might be a bit hard to swallow unless Turkey is a precident.

Even if Israel and Palestine were incorporated into the EU, the Jewish proportion of the overall EU population would still be less that the percentage of US citizens of Jewish faith. As regards Muslims, there are probably more Muslims in France than there are Palestinian and Israeli Muslims. The combined country would only have roughly the same population as Hungary or Belgium...

It just occured to me that the "Green" Party would probably have to be called the Ecological Party or something as green is a holy colour in Islam.
