DBWI: Prussia takes Silesia

Let's say Frederick II managed to conquer the Duchy of Silesia in the War of the Austrian Succession like he attempted to. What would that look like? I suppose it would turn Prussia into a larger power than OTL and maybe even help them in supplanting the Austrians as the prime power in the HRE. Also, surely Maria Theresa wouldn't just let go of it easily and she'll probably try to regain it, though I'm not sure the British would provide much help for that. What would the loss of this region mean for Austria and how would it benefit the Prussians? How would things look on the diplomatic and military scene of Europe?

This implies a much worse result for Austria in the War of the Austrian Succession. Do they lose any other territories than Silesia? Its hard to get a result where Prussia gains Silesia but everything else remains the same.

If Prussia could hold Silesia they could eventually become a major power and add other territories, carving off parts of Poland for example.

I tend to think that Prussia's success was mostly due to capable monarchs and a strong army. Take the former away and have the latter exhausted from a costly victory, and what do you have?

Not to mention that Elizabethan Russia would probably storm over the border sooner or later, supported by puppet Polish troops.

Austria would probably collapse if Silesia was lost. It already had a hard time OTL; if Prussia managed to pull a victory out of that it'd completely implode.
