DBWI:Prince Edward Tudor Lives Longer

For those of you that don't know, Henry VIII of England had a son, Edward Tudor to Jane Seymour but Edward died of a fever at the age of 4. What if Edward survived and become King?Could it change the course of the so-called 'Reformation'?It sounds insane, England was a devout Catholic backwater, but what if? I heard that Edward was raised as a Protestant. Perhaps the marriage of Mary I to Archduke Charles of Austria could have been prevented?! What if?

Henry VIII's son Edward did become king. At the age of nine, as well. His reign was short lived, but it was there.

We speak as if we live in an alternate universe. In this universe, Edward VI died as a toddler.

IC:You mean Mary I's great-nephew, Edward, grandson of Lady Elizabeth Tudor and Emmanuel Philibert of Savoy.

OOC: I missed the DBWI:eek:

I was browsing the pre-1900 and figured it was for real. I thought DBWIs were consigned to Shared Worlds.

I dunno. If Edward lived, he would have probably married Mary of Scotland who just 5 yours younger to him. If the scenario plays out OTL, then James V dies without a male heir and Mary ascends the throne. Also this might be a shot in the arm for English reformation with both Scotland and Ireland being reformist strongholds.

OOC: Ireland in this timeline goes reformist instead of England.

OOC: Ireland going Protestant is TOTALLY ASB! I mean if the Irish never converted while they were being prosecuted for centuries by England I can't see them willingly converting in a world were Mary I became Queen after Henry VIII, with no gap with Edward VI.
