Everyone knows that cartoons are just for kids. But back in the 60s, The Flintstones aired in Prime Time, and was enjoyed by fans of all ages.
That hasn't successfully been done since then. I wonder if anyone even remembers the then new Fox network making a daring attempt at it by using that cartoon family that used to show up on the Tracey Ullman show. I can't imagine how they thought that would last.
But could there have been a more successful attempt? What would convince people to watch a cartoon in Prime Time?
