DBWI: Prevent Real-Life Superheroes From Coming Into Existence After 9/11

IC: We are now coming close to the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 disaster, and currently The New York Times and CNN-TV are reporting the rise of the "superhero" phenomenon in major cities across the country and around the world. In the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Japan, Mexico, France, Italy, Australia, and even in the People's Republic of China, there are people who have started dressing in costumes to battle crime. In San Francisco, we have the "Guardians of the Gate". In New York City, you have several groups including "Superheroes Anonymous". How would OTL be different without these spandex-wearing subculture???

OOC: There are no super-powers!! These are just costumed vigilantes who are reported by the media. The idea is that the 9/11 tragedy served as a catalyst for some people to put on costumes...

There are certainly some vigilantes who have been dubbed "super-villians". "Dark Guardian" (a.k.a. Chris Pollack) of New York City was apparently killed by gang member last month, after he allegedly got involved in gang violence.
