When Russia warned Bulgaria not attack the Çatalca defenses (opening up to the defenses to Constantinople), Bulgaria still attacked it albeit failed to breach it entirely. However, the Russians were afraid of a success and declared war on Bulgaria together with Romania before the Ottomans successfully repelled the Bulgarians, pretty much wrecking any serious Bulgarian gains in favor of Serbia and Greece. Bulgaria never forgave the Russians and turned pro-German immediately. Even today, Bulgaria is the second nation to dislike Russia the most.
