Bahrain, Egypt, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Algeria, Yemen, and Tunisia all saw their autocracies fall, and all eight of them are now functioning liberal democracies.
But what if this was not the case? What if the Arab Spring didn't happen? How would the Middle East look today?
